i did this (xmas gift) caricature as a (last minute rush job [paying gig]) favour

for a friend of mine, who just happens to be best friends with justin's dad.
as far as i know the caricature is displayed in justin's ontario home.
chartpak ad markers on tabloid size letraset bleedproof marker paper.

odd balls

this was one of those sketches that started off really simple, then i messed up here and there, and continued to add lines to balance everything out. i kept telling myeself "keep it simple,... stop with the detail, or you'll regret it!". *sigh* it's interesting enough that i wanted to share it with everyone; it's not the worst thing i've drawn, but it's wonky enough to give me a mild form of anxiety. ;) lol... 

i wanted to avoid covering up mistakes (ink blobs, smudges,...) using a correction pen, etc., so what you're seeing here is pretty raw, and rare. aside from fiddling with the levels in photoshop, the only other thing done to this was erasing the pencil lines. well, it's something, either way; who knows, maybe i'll make this into a large painting one day. enjoy.

PEG CITY PUKE

some concepts from my 5x7" (predominately brush pen) sketchbook
to help get me motivated for the real deal. my plan is to pencil and
ink a somewhat finished looking version of what will eventually
become my first comic book, entitled 'ocd man'. i've been
procrastinating about this thing since the early 2000s,
and something is telling me that 'the sketchbook
project 2011 tour' is the perfect incentive for
me to kick my ass and finally get'er done,
or at least started! ;)
